Elementary PE teacher meeting today at BME

Today all of the elementary PE teachers met at BME. It was great to see everyone. Some of the topics discussed were the ASW evaluation process for all PE teachers in NC. We had great discussion on what it all means and where we go from here. We also discussed how to use twitter for professional growth, promotion of physical education and our schools. Next, we talked about adapted PE. Paul Kruer and I will be visiting different schools and giving support in APE. 

Keith Cannon our fearless leader talked a little bit about poverty and how it affects students' learning. Very interesting research!! To wrap up the day we heard from the First Tee program. We will be starting this soon at BME for all 5th grade students. Be on the look out for more coming! 

 

Some of our wonderful Elementary PE teachers! Did I mentioned that our AC was broken today? Shew! What's great is that no one really complained as Physival Educators we have learned to roll with the punches over the year!
